Porter Construction is a Baton Rouge company specializing in new construction, renovations, additions and exterior construction for both residential and commercial projects. Owner and founder Mike Porter has more than 15 years of hands-on experience in this industry, from his roots in landscape architecture to on-the-job experience as a builder, project manager and carpenter.
As someone who’s worked in every facet of this industry for a long time, Mike knows that there’s no “secret recipe“ for a successful project. It’s all about getting your hands dirty, bringing in the best people, triple-checking the details and applying top-tier craftsmanship to every job, every time.
Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of working on a wide range of projects, from multi-million-dollar homes to commercial and municipal jobs surpassing $20 million. However, our proudest achievements aren't the biggest, but the ones that mean the most to our clients. It could be adding that extra room for a growing family or creating a space to entertain friends. Either way, we're dedicated to making every project not only unique, but exceptional — just like we would for our own family.
